Now that Bill Nye has famously changed his opinion about GMOs, a fan thinks Bill is the perfect person to discuss their pros and cons. Watch Bill Nye the Science Guy play devil’s advocate and outline the beneficial and non-beneficial aspects of using GMOs. Although the effects on the ecosystem may be balanced out by the ability to grow more food on less land, unintended consequences may still arise as a result of the use of herbicides and monoculture farming, as did those that affected monarch butterflies and pollinators like bees.
