Join with us on a 770km (470 mile) journey across the remote and historic Cape York region in North Queensland, Australia. Starting on the east coast, we push inland in the footsteps of the prospectors and early settlers who first came to this region in the 1860s. We explore a number of old sites in the goldfields, fit in a bit of metal detecting, and end our journey at the historic Overland Telegraph Station on the west coast of the Cape overlooking the Gulf of Carpentaria.
